Left tackle Russell Okung will become a free agent after the Denver Broncos just declined their team option on him. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported the news.

Okung had a very weird contract put in place prior to last season. His option was only worth $1 million but it would have kicked into a four-year deal worth $48 million. $20 million of which would have been guaranteed. Interestingly enough Okung also does not have an agent.
Okung did play a full 16 game season for the first time in his career but he was never the dominating force Denver hoped he would be. According to Pro Football Focus, he ranked as the 38th best tackle recording an overall grade of 73.5. He was a far superior run blocker compared to pass protector (55.0 pass protection grade – 79.7 run blocking grade).
