Adam Copeland comments on whether Beth Phoenix will join him in AEW

Adam Copeland is officially All Elite and has left behind his Edge persona in WWE. But will his wife, Beth Phoenix, join him in AEW?

The Rated R Superstar has arguably had one of the most successful careers in WWE. Across his 27 years in the promotion, Copeland captured numerous championships and truly made “Edge” a household name. However, it seems like the veteran is looking for new challenges in AEW.

During the AEW WrestleDream post-show media scrum, Adam Copeland commented on the possibility of Beth Phoenix joining him. According to the star formerly known as Edge, he seems eager the work alongside his wife again.

“I mean, any time I get to be close to Beth obviously I’m gonna be super excited about that,” he said, according to WrestleTalk. “I don’t know about the possibilities of that in the foreseeable (future), but I love being around her obviously, and we’ve had a blast when we did get to work together.”

However, Copeland noted that Phoenix does help him elsewhere and that she’ll be instrumental to his AEW run without anyone knowing.

“But where she will be instrumental without everyone knowing it is she’s my sounding board. So if you’ve seen me do something, or you see something that you think worked, it was always bounced off Beth and then she always gives me better ideas back,” he said. “It’s kind of amazing to be married to a Hall of Famer, it’s pretty cool… who can suplex you.”

While it doesn’t seem like fans will get a reunion of Edge and Beth Phoenix anytime soon, Copeland seems to be excited about his future in the promotion. The Rated R Superstar is set to take on Luchasaurs during this week’s AEW Dynamite, so fans will get to see Adam Copeland in action soon.

Christian Cage commented on Adam Copeland’s (Edge) AEW debut

Fans of Edge and Christian are well aware of the strides the two made for tag team wrestling. Unfortunately, both stars ended up retiring by 2014, seemingly ending their careers. Surprisingly, in 2023, both Christian Cage and Adam Copeland are in the same promotion again.

During his segment in the AEW WrestleDream post-show media scrum, Cage dismissed Edge’s debut in the promotion and claimed they were not friends.

“I said this at the last scrum, I don’t have any friends other than Luchasaurus,” he said. “Was I surprised to see him? Yes. Did I care? Not really, it doesn’t change anything for me. I’m still the face of TNT, I’m still the TNT Champion, I’m still the man to beat in AEW. You understand that, right?”

Christian Cage additionally went on to praise his current run with the TNT Championship and claimed that he’s elevated the belt. Could Copeland and Christian go toe-to-toe in AEW? At this stage, it seems like the old friends will end up clashing, which opens up the door for Edge to capture gold one more time.
