NFL Sunday Ticket, Multiview Mode on Youtube TV review

After Sunday’s games, the partnership between the NFL’s Sunday Ticket and Google will have completed two weeks together on YouTube and YouTube TV. So far, the move to stream Sunday Ticket exclusively on YouTube and YouTube TV has been a success and the fans are happy. The games have little to no lag, the picture quality is great and it lets the audience enjoy all the games that aren’t in their TV market.

YouTube TV offers a multiview option where viewers can watch two, three or even four games at the same time. You have probably seen something similar to this in a sportsbook or a superfans’ house where four TVs are hung next to each other on the wall.

It is a really convenient feature, so you don’t have to flip the channels for hours. There is only one problem, however: You can’t entirely pick which games you can view in the multiview window.

There are multiple set windows to choose from, and if you become bored with one of the games, you can’t swap it out for another one. If you want to watch another game, you will either need to switch channels or switch which multiview window you are watching–which doesn’t show every combination. This can be a bit tedious, as some games, so far, have been boring or just complete blowouts.

Although this is an issue right now, it seems like it could be fixed in the future as this complaint is gaining traction online.

The good news, however, is that this is one of the only real complaints I have. Some might have been worried that it would be difficult to find the games, but on Sunday, the games are listed at the top of your screen.

YouTube made a large investment in acquiring the streaming rights for Sunday Ticket, and so far it seems like this seven-year deal will pay off.
