When Chelsea Green snogged a WWE legend in-ring

Chelsea Green has enjoyed a fruitful return to WWE in 2023. Returning in the Royal Rumble match, she has since captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship, first alongside Sonya Deville but now Piper Niven following Deville’s ACL injury.

But the case can be made that she is as popular as she is thanks to her post-WWE run following her release in 2021. As well as working prominently with NWA and GCW, she enjoyed a good run with IMPACT Wrestling, holding the Knockouts Tag titles alongside real-life best friend Deonna Purrazzo.

She also faced WWE legend Mickie James multiple times throughout 2022, as James embarked on a run she dubbed her “Last Rodeo”, an undefeated streak that launched her to win the Knockouts title with her career on the line.

In one of their bouts, Green called back to James’ own past feud with fellow legend Trish Stratus, planting her with an impromptu snog during the match. Green took to Twitter following the bout, clearly proud of herself as she declared “She loved it”.

James and Green faced off three times in singles action throughout 2022. First, they faced off in January, with Chelsea picking up the win via DQ. She also won their bout in July. Then in October, they had their final encounter, with James getting her win back.

Full Story by Faden Cloete

Known for his brief tenure in WWE and pairing with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr. could be better known for his alleged crimes very soon. The 40-year-old has been charged with six counts of wire fraud, two counts of “theft concerning programs receiving federal funds,” four counts of money laundering, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit theft concerning receiving federal funds.

If his charges lead to conviction, the former WWE World Tag Team Champion faces up to five years for the conspiracy charges, up to 20 years for every single count of wire fraud, and a maximum of 10 years for every count of theft and money laundering. According to Clarion Ledger, the corruption case is the largest in Mississippi history. DiBiase Jr. has pleaded not guilty.
