Arch Manning agrees to first NIL deal with Panini America

Texas Longhorns freshman quarterback Arch Manning has agreed to his first name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal with Panini America, he announced Tuesday.

The deal will be a multiyear agreement that allows Panini to create exclusive autographed cards. The first edition of these Manning autographed cards will be auctioned off and the proceeds will be donated to St. Davis’s HealthCare and St. David’s Foundation in Austin, Texas.

The first exclusive card is an autographed one-of-one Throwback Black Prizim.

Manning’s first NIL deal will end up being a hefty donation. In less than 24 hours, the bidding on the auction has already reached $40,000. In a statement provided to ESPN, Manning expressed the importance of his first NIL deal being a charitable contribution.

“Getting my first Panini trading card is something I couldn’t have imagined growing up,” Manning said in a statement. “Working with Panini to have my first trading card benefit the larger community is special. Helping children live healthy and fulfilling lives is something that has always been important to my family.”

Manning, the consensus No. 1 recruit in the class of 2023, is one of the most anticipated college football players in recent memory. The 6-foot-4 quarterback is the nephew of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, which only increases the hype around his name.

Manning has already parlayed his hype and name value into a charitable donation. It is hard to imagine that other companies are not aggressively pursuing deals with Manning as well. If he manages to secure the starting quarterback role at Texas, his NIL value will become astronomical.
