Cam Reddish signs two-year deal with Los Angeles Lakers

Cam Reddish signs two-year deal with Los Angeles Lakers

After a season full of finding his team with the Knicks and Trail Blazers, Cam Reddish could have finally found his home. Reddish is signing a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, as first reported by Shams Charania.

This offseason has proven to be a home run for Los Angeles. The Lakers have signed the former Duke standout to a two-year deal. The Lakers’ wing shooting was a primary weakness last season, and Reddish quickly became a must-have in free agency. Signing him to a cheap deal iseven better.

Reddish has shown flashes of becoming a great wing shooter at times, but his lack of consistency and efficiency has dragged him down. He fell out of the rotation with the New York Knicks based on their overloading amount of talent on the wing, but in Portland, Reddish revitalized his minutes.

In the past three seasons, Reddish is now on his fourth team. The Atlanta Hawks originally selected him with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft. Reddish hasn’t truly found a home in the league, as his role seems to diminish wherever he lands. Now, the 23-year-old is in full-go mode with the Lakers.

Last season with the Portland Trail Blazers, Reddish had his best season since 2021, averaging 11 points per game on 44% from the field and 32% from three. Along with scoring, the 6-foot-8 shooter assisted others two times a game and rebounded the ball around three times per game.

Can the Los Angeles Lakers restore Cam Reddish’s potential? Let us know in the comments.
