Brandon Miller sees the Charlotte Hornets in the 2024 NBA Finals

Can somebody please find out what exactly Brandon Miller is on? Or we need to find out what exactly is going on in that head of his, because such a discovery would be a marvel for the entire science community and humanity as a whole.

Just a day before the NBA Draft, Miller blew NBA Twitter up by claiming that Paul George was his GOAT. It certainly was an insane take that I feel doesn’t need much disproving.

You would think it couldn’t get any worse than that right? Well, Miller asks you to hold his beer while he tries to convince you that the Hornets will be in the NBA Finals next year.

I was willing to look past the Paul George comment; it’s absurd but was also said before the most important day of his life, so his mind is obviously all over the place. But to make this comment just a couple of days later seriously makes me question this kid’s judgment.

Again, I don’t think I need to go into great detail about why these are the ramblings of a madman. There is basically a zero percent chance the Hornets are in the finals next year. They finished 27-55 last year, good for 14th in the East.

I mean, there is a reason they were picking Miller at second overall. This Hornets team is just not good right now and is so, so far away from competing for championships. Unless they magically sign three huge superstars out of nowhere, I don’t see this Hornets team proving Miller right.

They can maybe get into the play-in and come out as a seven- or eight-seed but I don’t see a higher ceiling than that.

I know it just seems like I’m bashing the Hornets right now, but that’s not what I want the focus to be. The Hornets now have some solid pieces to build around in LaMelo Ball and Miller. The problem is that there isn’t much else outside of those two.

Kelly Oubre Jr. is set to leave in free agency; P.J. Washington is a restricted free agent; Miles Bridges is simply Miles Bridges, and Gordon Hayward, while still a solid player, is not someone you really build around.

If I, as a 20-year-old college student, can easily point this out, then Miller should be able to recognize it. I understand being confident in yourself, but this goes so far beyond just that. This seems to fit in the delusional category.

Oh yeah, there was also that time when he was allegedly involved in a shooting that happened on the near the University of Alabama’s campus. Miller was never charged, but the whole situation was weird.

Maybe Miller is doing all this to just make headlines. If he is, then to him because it’s working. But I mean, I can’t listen to something as crazy as that and simply say nothing.

Someone needs to take Brandon Miller’s phone and train him on speaking to social media, because this is starting to look like something that will happen on a regular basis. At which point, we can only pray that we have enough brain power to power through such stupidity.
