Dillon Brooks Had Some Harsh Words For Andre Iguodala

The Memphis Grizzlies have been holding on to Andre Iguodala hoping to recoup some value for him. The Warriors traded Iggy to Memphis in order to fit D’Angelo Russell into the cap without getting crushed by the luxury tax. Memphis happily took him to collect a nice first round pick and allowed Iggy to sit while they looked to trade him.

We’re now at the midseason point and there is still no Iggy trade. He has now even threatened to sit out the entire season despite the fact that Memphis is in the thick of the playoff race. Dillon Brooks had some choice words for Andre Iguodala. Ja Morant chimed in too.

You have to love this move by Dillon Brooks. This will get the fans to rally behind him. Especially a team that was known and beloved for the grit and grind style. If Iggy doesn’t want to suit up, F*ck him. I don’t blame Dillon Brooks one bit for saying what he did about Andre Iguodala. Brooks is becoming a fan favorite and is rapidly improving.

This one is tricky. I get why Iggy is pushing for a trade. I also don’t think it would have been the worst thing in the world to play for a team that is growing and oozing with potential. If anything, playing probably would have upped his trade value and would have got him moved by now. This will be an interesting situation to monitor as the 2020 NBA Trade Deadline inches closer.

Ja Morant is making the Grizzlies look really, really good

It would appear that the Rockets, Lakers, and Clippers are the main suitors for Iggy if a trade were to go down. Houston is shopping Clint Capela to add a wing like Iguodala. The Lakers are hoping he gets bought out. The Clippers could theoretically send the Moe Harkless deal. Time will tell what happens.
