Before the start of the season, I couldn’t believe that Bradley Beal actually signed an extension with the Wizards. Beal clearly didn’t want to win or was delusional enough to think Washington could actually turn things around in the near future. His decision to stay looks a whole lot worse when you consider the fact that the Wizards are 13-27 on the season.
Just watch this clip. It looks like Beal’s dog just died:
I just don’t understand what Beal expected? How did he not see this coming? David Aldridge’s report in The Athletic claims that Bradley Beal is ‘as angry with and emotional about his team as he’s ever been since being drafted by the Wizards in 2012. DUDE… John Wall hasn’t sniffed the floor. Your best player is Davis Bertans. Isaiah Thomas is actually getting minutes on this team. DUH… this team was always going to suck.
I don’t think Beal can even move anywhere. He just signed an extension and his trade restriction doesn’t open up until after the deadline. He’s stuck in Washington until after this season. I’m sure a team would love to trade for Beal. Only problem being that he made the choice to sign an extension. If he hates this team so much, why did he sign the deal?
The Wizards are clearly affecting his performance. It looks like he’s shut it down. Beal is shooting 30.9 percent from 3-point range. That’s just not him. Yes, he is scoring 27.6 points per game but he’s chucking up everything he gets his hands on. Chase management, not dollars. You made this choice, Bradley. Now you can suffer the consequences. How did your agent not tell you this was going to happen?
