2025 NFL Draft: Colorado Buffaloes Pro Day Notes

I wasn’t making the same mistake I did with the Cam Ward Pro Day. You know, the part where they were over an hour late to air the actual event. It turns out my gamble paid off. All of the footage was posted to the NFL YouTube channel almost right after so that’s what we’re going off here. If NFL Network was corrupt again, like they were with Will Howard, please comment. Although, it doesn’t appear to be the case given the lenght of how long this video is. Soooo without further ado, here are your 2025 NFL Draft notes from the Colorado Buffaloes Pro Day!

Shedeur Sanders:

The ball doesn’t explode out of his hand but he’s not small and any concerns that he’s not athletic are false. Not a ton of twitch but you can see he has real quarterback movement skills without looking like a robot. Footwork is good. Under control and not tripping over himself in the back pedal. He’s not twitched up but it’s not a bad arm and the accuracy down the field is there. Balls against air, he’s not making egregious misses.

He’s not doing that drifting thing he did in college and is driving the ball off the back foot fairly well. Pure ball placement has been very good. There’s no rocket launcher here but he’s doing pretty well at making throws on the move. Ball did hit the ground a couple of times. One deep ball to Sheppard and nother crosser behind Jimmy Horn.

I don’t know if this means anything but the pace of the workout was good. No messing around the taking these long breaks like some have in the past. I’m going to repet myself but the deep ball accurcy was really good. The deep balls have a moon ball Russell Wilson feel to them.

Everything was pretty consistent. I don’t think I learned a ton but that’s not a bad thing. I think we have a pretty good gauge on who he is.

*It’s hard to see all of the wide receiver stuff based on the camera angles but I’ll leave you guys with some small details to close it out.

Travis Hunter:

Not that this is a surprise but Hunter’s pure movement skills are ridiculous. That’s an alien right there. Ball skills are stupid good.

LaJohntay Wester:

Bobbling machine. His hands are clearly a problem. Shaky today. Even worse at the Combine. Dropped another one later in the workout. It’s clearly a problem.

Jimmy Horn:

I like this play. Guy just zooms out there. Has something.

Will Sheppard:

He’s there…
