2024 NFL Season: Week 4 Overreactions

We had another action-packed week in the NFL last week. We are four weeks through the season, so what are some overreactions we have as Week 5 vastly approached? Let’s ask our team!

Are the Seahawks for real?

Yes. Their defense got ripped to shreds by Detroit, but they had a good second half to get back into this game. Say what you will about Mike MacDonald, but I think they could make their way to the NFC Championship down the line. Those weapons are no joke, and if Geno Smith can stay healthy, then who knows what could happen?

Trey Daubert

Anthony Richardson will go down as a bust and Joe Flacco gives the Colts their best chance to win.

Richardson got hurt again and it was night and day difference. Richardson is just too much of a rollercoaster. He’s basically Cam Newton except not as good without having the ability to complete over 50% completion on a consistent basis.

Are the Commanders … dare I say … the best team in the NFC East?

Before you say anything: Yes, I am aware that Washington’s defense is dead last in EPA/play allowed and second-worst in success rate allowed. It’s a sieve. That said, it did look much better down the stretch against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals. That may not continue. But their offense won’t stop scoring. They’ve scored on 13 of their last 17 drives–including 10 touchdowns–and in 20 of their last 25 drives. The Commanders put up points, and have been the most reliable offense in the NFC East so far, albeit against below-average defenses. I don’t think they’ll outlast Philadelphia and Dallas when it’s all said and done, but Jayden Daniels and Co. could certainly make it interesting!
