Can’t you believe that we are nearly a quarter of the way through the 2024 NFL Season?! Me neither! Who are a few fantasy football breakout candidates that can potentially shine this week? Let’s dive into it! Let’s have another good week!
Steelers backup running back Jaylen Warren will miss Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with a knee injury. Thus, Patterson will be second-fiddle behind Najee Harris. Patterson got brief work last week, logging a 34 percent snap share with seven total touches for 48 yards. Though I expect his usage to increase even more in Aruher Smith’s offense against a volatile Colts defense. He may not be a viable start in most leagues, but I expect him to outperform his RB46 status in Week 4.
Rookie Caleb Williams has had to run for his dear life each week, which has limited the upside of Chicago’s offense. Now, Moore has been a fringe top-30 receiver in PPR formats this season, so it’s not like he’s significantly underperforming. Though he has yet to finish in the top-35 in standard formats, where he hasn’t found the end zone nor eclipsed more than 7.2 points through three weeks. I think that changes in Week 4 at home against a depleted Rams secondary that has surrendered the second-most fantasy points to wideouts this season.
After finishing as WR7 in Week 1, picking up right where he left off with six catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, Mike Evans cooled down in Weeks 2 and 3 against the Lions and Broncos, respectively. He’s had just nine catches for 59 yards over that timeframe, finishing outside the top-45 in standard formats both weeks. Expect him to bounce back against a more favorable matchup this week.
