2024 Fantasy Football Breakout Candidates: Week 10

We are halfway through the 2024 NFL Season with only a few weeks left in the fantasy football regular season! Who are a few fantasy football breakout candidates for Week 10? Let’s examine three possible candidates!

Jaylen Waddle, WR, Dolphins

If you believe in due: Jaylen Waddle is due. The speedy wideout’s had just one top-40 fantasy finish this season, according to Fantasy Pros. A big part of that has been Tua Tagovailoa‘s absence, but he still hasn’t garnered many targets in the two weeks since his return, with Tyreek Hill and De’Von Achane getting the majority of the target share. The Rams have been a below-average pass defense this season, and the Dolphins need a victory more than anyone. Expect Waddle to be involved.

CJ Stroud, QB, Texans

Stroud could get Nico Collins back Sunday night, which could be huge against an improved Lions secondary. Him being limited in practice all week is what I’m banking on. It will be difficult for Houston to run the ball against this stout Lions front, leading to more opportunity for Stroud. The 6-foot-3 signal-caller has thrown for only 200 yards once over the last four weeks with a QB24 placement thrice. I expect him to return to where he was in Weeks 1-5 if Collins is active Sunday night.

TJ Hockenson, TE, Vikings

TJ Hockenson returned after recovering from a torn ACL last week against the Indianapolis Colts. He only played in 45 percent of the team’s snaps, hauling in three catches for 27 yards in the Vikings’ 21-13 win. This week offers a very favorable matchup for him against the Jacksonville Jaguars, another AFC North foe, who have been the seventh-worst defense against tight ends in standard formats this season. The Vikings have a litany of pass-catching options, which could limit his upside, but with more usage, I think this could be a breakout week for Hockenson.
