2024-25 Heisman Trophy Winner Best Bets

College football season is almost here which means it’s time to get those bets in for the Heisman Trophy. Not too long ago, the site had a roundtable going over our full Heisman predictions. Let’s have a quick chat about some of the most educated bets you can make on the award this upcoming year. For all the updated best Heisman odds, make sure to check those out too!

There are really two approaches you can have here with betting the Heisman. At this point, it’s really a quarterback award and takes a heroic effort by another position to even be considered. Since 2010, only two non-QBs have won the award. A defensive player has not won since 1997.

Translation… take a shot on the quarterback you believe in and keep it moving.

The quarterbacks on good teams set up to put up big numbers is always an easy route to go. Dillon Gabriel at +700 could be a smart play if you believe Oregon runs through the Big 10. Same with Quinn Ewers at +1000 if you believe Texas wins the SEC.

I’m just not sure either of those guys has enough bang for their buck. Preferably, you want to cash in on someone with bigger odds for a larger pay day.

If you’re taking a shot on a breakout quarterback, maybe seek your options a bit further down the odds board. Nico Iamaleava is +1400 and the 5th shortest shot while entering his first season as a starter. There’s a reason for that. He’s a freak talent and we’ve seen the numbers a guy like Hendon Hooker put up with Josh Heupel.

Also, don’t sleep on Cam Ward and Jalen Milroe. Kalen DeBoer got Michael Penix to put up video game numbers after doing next to nothing with Indiana. Can you imagine the hype Ward will have if Miami wins the ACC and brings them back?
