2023 MLB Home Run Derby Official Betting Odds

The 2023 Home Run Derby takes place Monday, July 10, from T-Mobile Park in Seattle. The eight participants have all been announced, and the Home Run Derby odds have been set. Take a look below:

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+300)
Pete Alonso (+330)

Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has the best odds of the entire field despite only having 13 home runs on the year. He is making his second home run derby appearance, his first coming in 2019, where he made the final and put on a show against Pete Alonso, but lost 23-22 in the final round. In that year’s derby, Guerrero would set multiple records, including the most home runs in a competition with a 91 and the most in a single round with an absurd 40.

The seeding for the 2023 MLB Home Run Derby is set based on the number of home runs a player has at the time the derby was set. This also plays a factor in the 2023 Home Run Derby Odds. Here are the first-round matchups.

2023 Vendetta MLB Power Rankings: July

There are a ton of narratives going into the 2023 MLB Home Run Derby. Pete Alonso will be going up against Julio Rodriguez in the first round, which will serve as a rematch from last year when the then-rookie Rodriguez hit 31 home runs in the semi to beat Alonso. If Alonso wins the whole thing, he will join Ken Griffey Jr. as the only man to win the event three times. Lastly, five of the eight competitors in this year’s derby are making their debut in the event.
