Jamal Crawford

I’m upset. Why isn’t a great scorer like Jamal Crawford not on an NBA team? It literally makes no sense. There’s plenty of teams that could use his type of scoring. Even one team confirmed, Orlando Magic, are looking in the trade market for scorers. Why give anyone up at all when there’s a perfectly good scorer just waiting to be picked up. Hell, Carmelo Anthony who is cancerous to NBA teams, just got signed by the Portland Trail Blazers. I simply cannot make sense of it. Sometimes the most obvious answer is the right answer.

Look, I’m not denying that Jamal Crawford is on the decline. He was 38 last year. He averaged 7.9 PPG on 39.7% shooting, 3.6 APG, and 1.3 RPG in 19 minutes last year. Right now, you’re looking at this and going “Well, that’s why!” Let’s pump the brakes. He played for the Suns last year, who are a completely different team than this year. I am willing to negate that due to their reputation of being a disorganized franchise, how serious can we take that. Especially considering that his stats were better the year before. For his career, he had 14.6 PPG on 41% shooting, 3.4 APG, and 2.2 RPG. He’s never been more than anything but a scorer, but he can score like no other.

There’s plenty of people that shouldn’t be even in the NBA, Marco Belinelli, KCP, now Carmelo Anthony. If these people are in the NBA, then so should Jamal Crawford. He doesn’t need to have a crazy important role on an NBA team. But if a team needs a scorer, Jamal Crawford is ready to go. There’s still hope that Jamal Crawford gets on an NBA team during the NBA season. At this rate, someone would need a scorer desperately or have an injury on their team to have it happened.
