The 2015 Royal Rumble is now looked at as one of the worst matches in history. The winner went on to face Brock Lesnar, who retained his WWE Championship earlier in the night.
Reigns entered the match as the 19th entrant and got booed out of the stadium. Although Reigns was a babyface during this time, the crowd was tired of him. Reigns got booed intensely throughout the match and it became worse once Daniel Bryan got eliminated. The crowd was very rowdy throughout the match after Bryan got eliminated. They booed almost every person who entered the match, but one person they didn’t boo was The Rock.
The Rock came out late during the match, not as an entrant, but to help Reigns win. With the help of The Rock, Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble match. He eliminated six people after he entered and went on to the main event of WrestleMania 31. Even with The Rock holding Reigns’ hand high after the match, the crowd still booed Reigns out of the stadium.
