Week 11 Chick’s Picks NFL 2019

Week 11

It’s time for Week 11 Chick’s Picks! Last week, was less than memorable. It’s not even worth mentioning it. Out of 13 games, 10 were a one-possession game, so can you really blame me? Anyway, this week WILL be better, so let’s get into it with our Thursday Night Football game.

Steelers @ Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4) are being hosted by the Cleveland Browns (3-6) in our week 10 Thursday Night Football matchup. This was not how I expected the Browns to be after looking to be ready to take the next step this season. Of course, I forgot the Browns are the Browns and will always disappoint. The Browns did have an impressive win over the Buffalo Bills last week, so maybe that means there are good times to come? I doubt it, don’t let this win fool you, they’ll disappoint again. Meanwhile, the Steelers have won 4 straight and 3 of their losses were by 4 points or less. This Steelers team is better than I thought, especially after Big Ben got injured. Mason Rudolph still has a chance to lead the Steelers to the playoffs. The Steelers have flown under the radar but they look better with every week. They’ll beat the Browns once again this week.

Final Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers 31, Cleveland Browns 23

Jets @ Redskins

The Washington Redskins (1-8) are hosting the New York Jets (2-7) in Chick’s week 10 snoozefest of the week. This game will bore you to death please do not watch it. The Redskins are bad and the Jets are bad, and they’re both trying to get the best pick they possibly can. I’m not sure who wins this one, but I would pick the Jets in this one.

Final Prediction: New York Jets 27, Washington Redskins 21

Saints @ Buccaneers

The New Orleans Saints (7-2) are traveling to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers (3-6). I broke the curse, I am sorry Dan Louis. I was supposed to pick against the Saints last week because they were undefeated when I picked against them. I totally forgot about it and picked the Saints last week and got their ass handed to them by the…Falcons? Coincidence? I think not. I sincerely apologize Dan, as long as I pick against the Saints and they keep winning, I will continue to do so. The Buccaneers beat the Cardinals in a shootout last week, which I was expecting it would be, this week, confirmed bust Jameis Winston, will try to score as much as he can like the lowly Falcons did against the Saints last week. We’ll see if he can pull it off.

Final Prediction: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33, New Orleans Saints 31

Broncos @ Vikings

The Denver Broncos (3-6) are being hosted by the Minnesota Vikings (7-3) this week. The Vikings had a great win last week against the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. This team looks good at the moment and they should continue to even if they are without Adam Thielen. Dalvin Cook is getting the job done for the Vikings, expect them to lean on him heavily. He is still the league’s leading rusher at the moment. The Broncos are bad, plain and simple. When they traded away Emmanuel Sanders, that only solidified the belief that they will tank for the rest of the year. It should be an easy win for the Vikings, but any given Sunday.

Final Prediction:

Bills @ Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins (2-7) are hosting the Buffalo Bills (6-3) in this AFC East week 11 matchup. What the hell is wrong with the Dolphins, they can’t even tank right. After looking to go winless after losing to the Redksins a few weeks ago, they go and win TWO games in a row? One of those came from a solid team like the Colts. If the Dolphins somehow beat the Bills, I have lost all hope in the Bills and the Dolphins. The Bills are looking to bounce back after having a rough week against the Browns. Still halfway the season, the Bills are still one of the better teams in the league because of their defense. That’s how they’ll look to beat the Dolphins or any team for that matter. Their offense is a work in progress but defense wins Championships right?

Final Prediction: Buffalo Bills 16, Miami Dolphins 10

Jaguars @ Colts

The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-5) are traveling to Indianapolis to take on the Colts (5-4) in a big AFC South Week 11 matchup. This game will be one to watch if you’re keeping up with the AFC playoff race, this one will be an important one. The AFC South division is the tightest division in the league, despite the fact that no one is talking about it. While Nick Foles is projected to come back this week, so is Jacoby Brissett. This game will be a doozy to watch, even though these teams don’t scream important because of the low publicity these teams get, it’s the most important game for both of these teams yet. Please watch this one. The Colts are looking to bounce back after an embarrassing loss from the Dolphins. I’m taking Nick Foles and the Jaguars off the bye week.

Final Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars 23, Indianapolis Colts 21

Cowboys @ Lions

The Dallas Cowboys (5-4) are being hosted by the Detroit Lions (3-5-1) in this matchup. The Lions aren’t as bad as their record shows. They’ve had a bad streak of games and frankly losses. They haven’t been the same since they got fucked over by the refs in the Packers game. Their schedule doesn’t get much easier from here on out. The wise thing to do for the Lions is to just tank, especially since Matt Stafford might be out this week. We now know the Lions can play ball, next year will be a better year for them, they might as well get the best draft pick they can and do better next year. The Cowboys are still tied with the lead for the division with the Eagles. They lost a close one to the Vikings last week. The Cowboys are a good football team, they’ve just underperformed for me. They have a chance to take the lead in the division with this one. Their offense can fire on all cylinders, because of their offensive line but Zeke must be better for more wins. Cowboys get a much-needed win this week and go in first place for the division.

Final Prediction: Dallas Cowboys 30, Detroit Lions 20

Falcons @ Panthers

The Carolina Panthers (5-4) are hosting the Atlanta Falcons (2-7) in a Week 11 NFC South matchup. The Falcons surprised everyone, even themselves last week. They beat the mighty Saints. But every dog has their day, and that was theirs. The Panthers lost a close one to the Packers showing that they can hang around with any team. Christian McCaffrey is one of the best in the business and he’ll continue to carry this team as much as he can. He’ll beat up a porous Falcons defense and knock the Falcons back to irrelevancy.

Final Prediction: Carolina Panthers 34, Atlanta Falcons 26

Texans @ Ravens

The Houston Texans (6-3) are traveling to Baltimore to take on the Ravens (7-2). This is one of the best games of the week, especially out of the earlier games. They have two of the biggest names in the league in Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson facing off against each other. While some don’t think that Lamar Jackson is a good QB, like me and Trey Daubert, he is still playing some good ball for a running back. His gimmick should continue for the rest of this season, but we will see for next season. Deshaun Watson? Now that’s a QB. That guy can play and he can actually throw. This will be a great football game because the Ravens offense is exciting and their defense is looking better. 4 of their wins came against the Bengals twice, Dolphins and the Cardinals. They still have impressive wins in their resume but I don’t think they’re the best. The Texans are a better team in my opinion but the record doesn’t show it. Deshaun Watson is for sure better and do not believe anyone that believes otherwise.

Final Prediction: Houston Texans 34, Baltimore Ravens 30

Cardinals @ 49ers

The Arizona Cardinals (3-6-1) are being hosted by the San Francisco 49ers (8-1) in a Week 11 NFC West Matchup. The Cardinals offense is fun to watch. Their defense hurts to watch. Kyler Murray knows the offense better than anyone on the Cardinals and he proves it every week. They should focus on their defense this offseason in the draft in hopes to improve. The 49ers finally lost last week, but only barely to one of the best teams in the league. This team is still one of the most complete there is and shouldn’t lose that many, if any, games in the season. This game should be an easy one for the 49ers.

Final Prediction: San Francisco 49ers 30, Arizona Cardinals 23

Patriots @ Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles (5-4) are hosting the New England Patriots (8-1) in a Super Bowl 52 rematch. Although, only one of these teams still has that same caliber of talent. The Eagles offense would be horrendous without Carson Wentz. Other than Zach Ertz, the Eagles receiving options cannot be trusted. The Patriots lost to the Ravens before the bye, but now they’ll be looking to beat the Eagles with their defense. Tom Brady has declined and I don’t think anyone can argue that. Although, there are enough weapons around him along with a stout defense to carry the load for him. Although this screams like it’ll be a good game, I don’t think it will.

Final Prediction: New England Patriots 27, Philadelphia Eagles 17

Bengals @ Raiders

The Cincinnati Bengals (0-9) are traveling to Oakland to take on the Raiders (5-4) in this week’s matchup. DA RAAAAAAAAIDAAAAHS, okay let me calm down. I haven’t been this excited as a Raiders fan than the 2016 Raiders, before that? Never. The Raiders are playing the best ball of their life despite the fact they virtually have no pass defense. Josh Jacobs is a STUD, he will win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Expect him to run ALL OVER the Bengals defense. I expect 100 yards easily from him. The Bengals are bad. Joe Mixon finally came alive and had a decent game. But Ryan Finley takes the Bengals back two more steps. He’s not a good QB and this is a mistake by the Bengals. But maybe just maybe, the Finley will have a great day against this terrible secondary. I expect the Raiders to win, but just because the secondary can be so bad, do not count out the Bengals just yet. They want to win one for pride.

Final Prediction: Oakland Raiders 31, Cincinnati Bengals 20

Bears @ Rams

The Chicago Bears (4-5) are being hosted by the Los Angeles Rams (5-4) in week 11 Sunday Night Football matchup. Before the season, this would have been a great Sunday Night Football game. Now? Eh. not the best but not the worst. The Bears offense is terrible and the Rams defense is better. The Rams offense is great and so is the Bears offense. With simple logic, it makes sense that the Rams would win. Mitch Trubisky will fail them, Jared Goff would too, but he has a better chance to win than Mitch Trubisky. The Bears defense and Matt Nagy cannot carry Mitch forever. The Bears will be instantly better when they do something about him. Give me the Rams in this one.

Final Prediction: Los Angeles Rams 20. Chicago Bears 16

Chiefs @ Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers (4-6) are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) in an AFC West showdown in our week 11 Monday Night Football matchup. This is an important game for these two teams and the Raiders. The Chargers are still close enough to win the division and be relevant in the AFC wild-card race. But their dreams can end this week if they lose this game. The Chiefs have this game before they go on a bye week. If the Chiefs lose this game, well, they might be in trouble to win the division. The Raiders are playing the Bengals and the Jets next, threatening to take the lead if the Chiefs lose. This is a must-win game for both teams. The Chargers are playing better and Patrick Mahomes will be better as talented as he is. This game is a great primetime game. I want to speak into existence that the Chargers will win this week.

Final Prediction: Los Angeles Chargers 24, Kansas City Chiefs 23

Teams on Bye

The Seattle Seahawks (8-2) are heading into week 11 on the bye. They’ll be watching the 49ers game this week hoping that they miraculously get beaten by the Cardinals. This will help them so they have a chance to win the division and secure a bye week for the playoffs. Tne Seahawks will be preparing to take on the Eagles next week.

The Green Bay Packers (8-2) are heading into the bye in week 11. The Packers will also be watching the 49ers game as well as the Saints game this week. They want both of these teams to lose to help solidify their spot as the 1 or 2 seed in the NFC. This will help them get a bye week come playoff time. Every game counts. The Packers will be preparing for a big game themselves as they play the 49ers next week.

The Tennessee Titans (5-5) are heading into week 11 on the bye. The Tennessee Titans are not out of the playoff race yet. In fact, they’re very much in the race after their impressive win against the Chiefs last week. To really help their chances in the wild card, they need the Jaguars to beat the Colts this week so it will be a 3-way tie for second place in the division. They can really benefit from the Ravens beating the Texans this week to keep them in the running to win their division. This is a very important week for the Titans. They can also benefit from every team ahead of them in the wild card race loses this week. The Titans will have a big AFC South matchup from there when they take on the Jaguars next week.

The New York Giants (2-8) are heading into the bye in Week 11. The New York Giants are tanking for the rest of the season. They obviously want to get the best pick they can. So they’re rooting for all the underdogs this week. This includes the Bengals, Redskins, Dolphins, Falcons, and well it wouldn’t hurt if the 3-win teams won this week. The Giants will be preparing to take on the Bears next week.
