I get that I’m probably alone here but, I love Zooey Deschanel. I don’t know what it is exactly. She just does it for me.
Give me the big eyes, the pale white ain’t been in the sun in 12 and a half years skin color, and the oddly high and low pitched at the same time voice. Gimme all’at.
It absolutely shouldn’t work but somehow it does.
Not to mention she’s in some of my favorite movies. I fell in love with her in Almost Famous. Laughed my ass off at The New Guy, Elf, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Yes Man. Then I cried over her in 500 Days of Summer (seriously I felt JGL’s pain in this one).
Yea, they aren’t all winners. The Happening was one of the worst movies ever made however, Zooey was arguably the best thing about that movie. And I believe it was Jesus who said, “let he who is not Zooey Deschanel cast the first stone,” or something like that.
She was built for the role of bubbly offbeat oddball Jessica Day on Fox’s New Girl. I’m convinced Zooey wasn’t acting. She just showed up on set and the director just filmed everything she did that day.
And those glasses. *swoon* (Wait do men swoon?) *whatever the man version of swoon is*
Finally, Deschanel has a girl next door quality about her that gets to me. And like I said before, I’m probably alone here but she just does it for me.
