UFC Vegas 60 Best Bets

We are back for another weekend of UFC bets. Last week I was able to find a couple of winning bets on UFC 279 best bets. It is time to keep that momentum going and get another positive week in the books. UFC Vegas 60 is a fairly average card from a betting perspective. We have a couple of big favorites, but there are a lot of closely lined fights. There are a handful of live dogs too. Here are three of the best bets from UFC Vegas 60.

*All lines are taken from FanDuel and are accurate as of 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.*

Chidi Njokuani to Win By KO/TKO or Submission +170

This line may look different depending on your sportsbook. Certain books will have this outcome listed as Chidi Njokuani inside the distance while others list it as Njokuani to win by KO/TKO or submission. Regardless of how your sportsbook lists this outcome, it is a good bet. Njokuani is scheduled to fight Gregory Rodrigues at UFC Vegas 60. Njokuani is currently a -120 favorite, but if he wins, he will likely win by knockout. Rodrigues has some defensive flaws and Njokuani could exploit those flaws with his accurate strikes that have knockout power. Njokuani also has slick submissions. I do not expect him to land a submission, but I would keep that aspect of the bet in as it provides a strong safety net. The bet still holds plus money value with that scenario included.

Pat Sabatini by Points +120

Pat Sabatini will fight Damon Jackson at UFC Vegas 60. This fight should be very close. Sabatini is the rightful favorite as he sits at -215. There is not much value in that, but there is value in Sabatini to win by points (decision) at +120. Sabatini is a great grappler, and he can control Jackson on his way to a decision victory. In his career, Sabatini has never finished a fight via strikes. He can find submissions, though. On the flip side, Jackson is a good grappler and has only been submitted once in his UFC career. That came back in 2014 when Yancy Medeiros submitted him in his UFC debut. I have a hard time seeing either fighter get a finish in this fight. That makes Sabatini to win by points at +120 a good bet.

Cameron VanCamp +164

Cameron VanCamp will open UFC Vegas 60 against Nikolas Motta in a lightweight bout. This will be the second UFC fight for both VanCamp and Motta. Vancamp dropped his first UFC fight to Andre Fialho in a short-notice welterweight bout. Motta dropped his debut against Jim Miller. Both fighters lost by knockout. Motta and VanCamp both have a lot of questions to answer. VanCamp is moving down from welterweight to lightweight and he needs to prove he can successfully make the weight and fight well at the lower weight class. Motta has to prove that he consistently fights to his potential. He is a great boxer but did not fight to his potential against Miller. In this bout, I like VanCamp. If he makes weight, he will be the bigger fighter and he will have a significant wrestling advantage. Those two traits can lead him to victory against Motta.

Sprinkle of the Week: Rodrigo Nascimento Ferreira by KO/TKO +850

UFC Vegas 60 has a lot of closely lined fights. That is great for betting, but it does make it difficult to find a pick for ‘sprinkle of the week.’ If you are unfamiliar with ‘sprinkle of the week,’ I find a bet with long odds to help spice up the picks. Do not go put your entire bankroll on this bet, rather a quarter unit or less will suffice. The best bet for a sprinkle looks like Rodrigo Nascimento Ferreira to win by KO/TKO at +850. Ferreira to win by KO is not the most probable outcome in this bout. With that being said, it is worth a stab. Ferreira has knockout power and could win land a knockout shot. He could also get on top and make this bet cash by landing ground-and-pound. At +850 this could be a nice payday.
