Tyler Higbee Is An Underrated Fantasy Tight End
Gerald Everett might thrive now that he’s no longer in the shadow of Tyler Higbee. Well, the same goes for Higbee now that Everett isn’t stealing snaps. Higbee is the only real tight end threat on the Rams roster now which only increases his value. Tyler Higbee should probably be considered one of the most underrated tight ends in fantasy now.
Just because I like a player in fantasy, doesn’t mean I’d roster him if I was a general manager running a team. I’m not sure Higbee is a top 20 tight end in the league. However, I’ll take him in fantasy right now. There’s a lot working in favor of the Rams tight end.
Think of of the two things that have happened to increase Higbee’s fantasy value:
A: Gerald Everett is no longer on the roster and the Rams didn’t draft his “replacement”.
B: Jared Goff isn’t the quarterback anymore. Matthew Stafford is. An enormous boost to this passing attack.
Anyone with a brain knew the truth. Jared Goff should change his last name to Goof. The guy sucks. This offense is going to go through the roof with a real quarterback under center. An 800 yard season with seven touchdowns seems more than realistic.
With all the attention going towards Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, Higbee should be in for a season. The entire Rams team has real hope again. With Everett gone and Stafford under center, Higbee should be regarded as a top 10 tight end in fantasy despite the fact that he’s not a top 10 talent at the position. Something I wouldn’t have said a year ago.
