DAILY NBA PICKS FROM YESTERDAY

  • Knicks  MoneyLine and covered the Spread -2.
  • 76ers Moneyline
  • Wizards covered the Spread +7.5.
  • Pelicans covered the Spread +9
  • FAVORITE DAILY NBA PICKS WERE 3/3 Knicks MoneyLine, Nets Moneyline, Wizards +7.5

PACERS AT CELTICS

The Celtics are looking to get back on track, hosting the Indiana Pacers at 7:30 PM ET. Tatum shot 4-20 on 1-8 from 3. Jaylen Brown went 6-16 and 0-6 from 3 in their loss to the Hawks. The Pacers also lost on Tuesday to the Warriors despite Brogdan having 24 points, 3 boards and 3 assists; and Sabonis having 22 points 16 boards and 4 assists. I don’t trust either team with the spread or MoneyLine, but if there’s something to consider in this game it’s Over 219. The Over is 4-1 in the last 5 for Celtics, and with their two stars in slumps, if one of them can manage to get going, I’m confident the over will hit and will put the Celtics in a good spot to win this game. But once again, not touching MoneyLine or the Spread, might as well flip a coin.

HOUSTON ROCKETS AT TORONTO RAPTORS (in Tampa)

The Raptors will be playing the Rockets at 7:30 PM ET. The Raptors have lost 2 straight while the Rockets continue their 9 game losing streak. This Rockets team has struggled to find their identity since Christian Wood got injured, he’s out for at least another week so I see this sad trend continuing. Even if Wall, Oladipo and Gordon have 20 each, the rest of the team is too inconsistent and just straight up not good enough. The Raps on the other hand are playing their best ball of the season with or without Kyle Lowry (soon to be 76er?). Raptors MoneyLine is one of my FAVORITE DAILY NBA PICKS. I also see the Raptors taking care of the Spread -7 but the ML is my #1 play for this game.

SACRAMENTO KINGS AT DETROIT PISTONS

The Kings have a quick turnaround after losing to New York’s favorite basketball team last night. Tonight they play the Detroit Pistons in Detroit at 8 PM ET. Saddiq Bey has been amazing for Detroit in his rookie campaign averaging 10 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist on 42% from the field and 40% from 3. Solid rookie numbers from the 19th overall pick. The plan I consider and quite like actually is Detroit +3 at home. The Kings are a better team overall but are 1-9 in the last 10 and 0-8 Against The Spread. I’ll ride with the hometown team who has Most Improved Player of The Year candidate Jeremi Grant and one of the top rookies in this draft class. Do people feel bad for De’Aaron Fox or is it just me?

UTAH JAZZ AT MIAMI HEAT

The 8th seed in the East will host the 1st place team in the West. Bam should be good to go for this game but even if he is you have to consider if he’ll be on a minutes restriction. Tyler Herro being questionable is another problem. Don’t get me wrong Miami has been great since Butler came back, but games like this is when he needs his whole team fully healthy. I like the Jazz to win regardless of Bam and Herro’s availability but if they’re both out I’m confident that the Jazz cover the Spread -6.5 I love Kendrick Nunn for 3 3’s. He’s good at bouncing back after poor shooting games and he’s hit 3 3’s in 7 of the last 10 games. He had only 1 3 pointer made in their last game so I expect a bounce back performance from him.

PHOENIX SUNS AT CHICAGO BULLS

The Suns travel to the Bulls to play at 8pm ET. Call me crazy, I like the Bulls +5 tonight. While the Suns have won 12 of 15 and are one of the hotter teams in the league right now, Chicago has been playing sneakily well and they’ve won 5 of they’re last 6. I mentioned in yesterday’s post about the Wizards that Mr. Bradley Beal is a dangerous man when he is happy and his team is hooping (Beal had 33 in the 2 point loss. WAS +7.5 covered) That same logic applies to Zach Lavine. He’s averaging 29 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds on 52% on field goals and 48% from 3 point range. His supporting cast has also been playing well including Colby White, 1st round pick Patrick Williams, Wendell Carter, and Thaddeus Young. I like Bulls +5 on the Spread.

ATLANTA HAWKS AT OKC THUNDER

Hawks at Thunder 8PM ET. The Hawks have lost 4 of their last 5 and this feels weird to say but, the Thunder actually have some momentum rolling after Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 42 points on half of the Spurs team. Over the last 3 games Shai is averaging 33 points and 6 assists on 64% shooting and 64.7% from 3. Appreciate those numbers as he is only going to get better, he is a special player. Lu Dort for the win! I love the way Dort plays coming from the g league to now one of, if not the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. On the Hawks side, Clint Capela should have a field day against a poor interior defense in OKC. I’m expecting a 15 and 15 game from Capela, and I really wouldn’t be surprised if he gets to 20 and 20, he should go to work tonight. I’m riding with OKC in this one, OKC +4.5 rather then the MoneyLine.

CHARLOTTE HORNETS AT GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS

Curry’s Warriors host the Hornets at 10PM ET. The Warriors will be looking to get their 3rd win in a row. Both team are coming off of solid victories, Warriors betting the Pacers and the Hornets shocking the Suns. Surprisingly the Hornets have won their last 3 meetings with the Warriors. But with Draymond Green refocused and angry about the teams last meeting (he got a technical at the end of the game which led to a Terry Rozier game winner) I think the Warriors come in and get the job done. Curry shot 1-11 from 3 last game so I expect him to get back to that 5-7 3 pointers made. I would definitely play Curry at 5 3 pointers made, that is one of my FAVORITE NBA DAILY PICKS

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS VS LOS ANGELES LAKERS

The Trail Blazers head to LA to play the Lakers at 10PM ET.  This is the game I would suggest for a same game player parlay tonight and we will get to that, but first The Lakers have lost 5 of their last 6 while Portland has won 8 of their last 12. I like the Blazers +4.5 to cover. Portland should be able to win this one but if the Lakers are winning, I expect a 1-2 possession game. The over at 221.5 is a solid play but I’m hesitant due to the Lakers inconsistent help from their bench other than Montrezl Harrell. Player props I like for this game include:

LeBron 9 assists or more, Lebron 8 rebounds or more, Gary Trent jr 3 3’s which he has hit in his last 10 games. Lillard 9 assists or over. Shroder under 16.5 points. I don’t see jumping right back into the lineup after missing a week and scoring 17. Lillard over 30.5 points, after back to back games with under 30 I think he comes out hot on this nationally televised game
