Teams Should Be Begging Sean Payton To Coach Their Team

We might not get to see Sean Payton with the Saints anymore, but he hasn’t totally been taken away from us. Payton is going to be spending the season with Fox Sports covering the NFL. You never really know how these guys are going to do in the media but smart usually translates.

As I always do during my lunches, I look for videos on YouTube to watch while I eat. Sean Payton recently made an appearance on The Herd. If you’re a football fan, I recommend that you watch it. In fact, it’s so good that the interview actually somehow makes Cowherd look somewhat intelligent. That’s how good Payton was.

This interview took place on Monday after the 2022 NFL Week 1 results.

That guy knows what he’s talking about. If you’re a general manager running a struggling team, you should be begging that guy to take over. I won’t go into too many spoilers. If you’re a real NFL fan, you just need to watch it.

After you go watch that, go watch the Sean Payton movie too (my review link can be found here) if you haven’t already. It’s a really good movie the entire family should be able to enjoy even if they’re not the biggest football fans.

Who knows where Payton will end up coaching next. The easy money is on Dallas. However, at the same time, do you really want that job with an aging Dak Prescott making all that money? Do you really want that job without picking your own quarterback in the draft? Dallas is the obvious choice for Payton but other locations can’t totally be ruled out.

If an NFL team is smart enough to hire me, Payton will be my first call.
