Super Bowl 55 Preview: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Looking To End Drought.

Super Bowl 55 has come upon us and yet again Tom Brady is in the last game of the year. This time it’s with a franchise that hasn’t been here since 2003. Would it really be the Super Bowl without Brady? This marks the legendary quarterback’s tenth time in the game. However, he must face the young superstar in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Why The Bucs Will Win

The Horseshoe Up Brady’s Ass-

I am not disputing that Brady is a great player and the best QB of all time. However, the luck that this guy has is truly unreal. First, Brady was the last pick of his draft class then goes to the dynasty in the making in the New England Patriots. Second, Brady continues to put up monster seasons even at age 43. Third, leaves Bill Belichick and joins the joke of the NFC South in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and leads them to the Super Bowl. Just for all of that screw Brady! Nobody can be this lucky except him.

Nevertheless, Brady is back and has a ton of weapons and many ways that he can come at you. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Leonard Fournette, and Scotty Miller is arguably Brady’s best collection of weapons since 2011. Which is scary for the Chiefs. The Bucs may be one of the only teams that can go shot for shot with Mahomes.

The Buccaneers Defense is Red Hot-

The Buccaneers defense has been heating up leading them to a Super Bowl. Jason Pierre-Paul (JPP) and Devin White have been two of the biggest contributors. JPP has had a renaissance year with Tampa racking up nine and a half sacks. That’s his second-highest sack total in his tenure with the Bucs That defense forced Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees to be very uncomfortable and turn the ball over multiple times. Should the Bucs defense force timely turnovers on Mahomes (which isn’t easy) they will be in prime position to win the Lombardi Trophy.

Defensive Coordinator, Todd Bowles, has done a fantastic job thus far with the Bucs defense. He will have them as ready as they can be for this game. Should the Bucs lose it won’t be because of lack of preparation.

However, I truly believe if anyone will slow down the high-powered offense of the Chiefs it will be the Bucs.

Familiarity-

The Bucs have already seen the Chiefs before. During the regular season in which they lost 27-24 to Kansas City. The Bucs came back from an early onslaught by Tyreek Hill and made the game a lot closer in the end. Also, Brady has been here so many times before and has no pressure on him. Sure, the Chiefs are the defending champions. However, Brady has way more playoff experience than the Chiefs. Let’s think for a second here. Brady has nothing to prove and nothing to lose. Brady already proved he can win without the Patriots and a loss wouldn’t hurt his legacy at all. Mahomes has all the pressure on him to go back-to-back, this is the opportunity to build his legacy. Brady can play free and just focus on completing the task at hand.

For Brady and the Bucs we saw what they did to the Saints and Packers after seeing both teams throughout the year. However, when it comes to the Chiefs that may not matter.

Prediction Chiefs Repeat 30-27

As I said in the Chief’s portion of the preview. The Chiefs will come out on top in the Super Bowl. It will be a close game however, the Bucs will lose this one.
