SimBull 2021 CFB Full Team Breakdown: The University Of Alabama

Welcome to Vendetta’s SimBull CFB full team breakdowns, where the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs for their share value on SimBull. This edition looks at the Alabama Crimson Tide.

2020 Record: 13-0

2021 Projected Win Total: 11.5

On the Field:

As long as Nick Saban is alive, investors shouldn’t have anything to worry about. Saban is the Bill Belichick of college football… except way more dominant. The University of Alabama has never been more dominant in the history of the program. That’s just a fact.

This is an NFL program in college. Hell, Doug Marrone and Bill O’Brien are on the staff. That’s always going to be the case in one way, shape, or form. If Saban is alive, the Tide are always the best bet money can buy. There is no other way to say it.

The 2021 iteration of the Tide appears to be dominant again. Bryce Young appears to be special and may just be the most talented quarterback Saban has ever had. Wide receiver John Metchie still gives the Tide the over the top element. Jameson Williams looks like a hell of a get via the transfer portal. The running backs this year are a bit unproven but c’mon. Has Alabama ever had problems developing players in this area?

Defensively, the Tide should be among the top units in the SEC. Christian Harris and Henry To’o’To’o give the Tide by far the best middle linebacker unit in the conference. The bottom line is, is it really fair when Saban is plucking guys like To’o’To’o from Tennessee? DJ Dale, Josh Jobe, and Jordan Battle are all veteran leaders on the Tide defense that should get drafted as well.

In the Market

Alabama isn’t the highest priced team in the market. That alone makes them a great buy. The Tide are currently listed at $61.11 a share. The positive is you know those win pay outs are virtually a given basically every Saturday. That’s a great feeling as an investor. The SEC is loaded but c’mon. The Tide are cheaper than the Oklahoma Sooners? Where do I sign!
