On the Field

The Wolfpack have never been incredible under nine-year head coach Dave Doeren, but they’ve always been a solid ACC team. NC State has produced six winning seasons in the last seven years. On offense, they return pretty much all of their weapons from last year’s 8-4 team. The NC State offense has delivered to start the season, scoring 45 points in two of the team’s first three games. Quarterback Devin Leary has looked sharp coming back from injury, which is certainly a good sign. The Wolfpack have great continuity on both sides of the ball, returning 16 starters.

For as good as NC State could be, they will really be tested this season. They open the ACC slate with a game against Clemson, then play four of their next five conference games on the road. The Wolfpack are one of the deeper, more experienced sides in the ACC. They are certainly capable of defeating most conference opponents even with their tough schedule.

In the Market

One share of SimNCST-FB goes for $39.80. In terms of cost, this share price is sixth of the 15 ACC teams and 34th of the 65 Power Five schools. It may seem like they are a little low given their potential, but the five ACC teams ahead of the Wolfpack all have a good case to be there. The price is essentially in the middle of the two extreme outcomes for this football team given their challenging schedule. Should they succeed at the start of the conference schedule, they will be in for a boost.
