SimBull 2021 CFB Full Team Breakdown: The University of Arkansas

Welcome to the next SimBull CFB full team breakdown, the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be breaking down and analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs, and next up is the University of Arkansas.

2020 Record: 3-7 (3-7)

2021 Projected Win Total: 5.5

On The Field

Despite only going 3-7 last season, the 2020 campaign saw Arkansas moving in the right direction as a program. All three wins came against SEC opponents, with possibly a fourth win taken away in a controversial call at the end of their game against Auburn. Arkansas continues to attract talent with each recruiting class and that trend looks like it will continue after this season.

The 2021 campaign started off slow being down at the half to Rice. But head coach Sam Pittman was able to rally his team to a victory. Whatever momentum was created from beating Rice carried over into a trashing of #15 ranked Texas. Arkansas was in control of that game from start to finish. Quarterback KJ Jefferson looked more comfortable and confident in the pocket, and Arkansas has at least 3 legitimate running backs, two of which are true freshmen. The SEC will always be tough to win in, but Arkansas looks to be on the up. We will see once they begin conference play.

In The Market

The SimArkansas Razorbacks currently sit at $33.33 per share, putting them in the bottom twenty when it comes to price. The only lower priced SEC schools are Vanderbilt and South Carolina. I can promise you this, Arkansas is not the third worse team in the SEC. They fit more with a middle of the pack, making their price compared to a program like LSU ($42.19 a share) look like a good investment.

The way the University of Arkansas is trending right now, they will easily hit the over on their win total for the season. The college football world has confidence or at least recognizes what Pittman is doing in Arkansas by rewarding the Hogs with being the #20 ranked team in the nation heading into this weekend. In the SimBull CFB world, Arkansas should 100% be on your radar as a team that can get you to cash now with wins and in the future if their stock continues to rise.
