The Seattle Seahawks did a locker room clearing of some sort. Michael Bennett and Richard Sherman are both gone. The Seattle Legion of Boom really doesn’t exist anymore. Kam Chancellor and Cliff Avril may both be forced to retire with neck injuries. Russell Wilson is really the glue that is holding this thing together at this point. Is Pete Carroll on his legs as head coach? Having said that, what can we expect from the Seattle Seahawks during the 2018 NFL Draft?
Holding the 18th pick in the first round, there’s no question that Seattle needs to invest into this offensive line. I have no idea why they have been ignoring this position for so long but they really aren’t doing Russell Wilson any favors. Mike McGlinchey could be the pick if he is on the board. Regardless if he is or isn’t get Wilson a damn left tackle. This could have been avoided but they decided to pass on Cam Robinson a year ago. I don’t care who you pick Seattle, just make sure it’s an offensive lineman. It’s embarrassing what they are assembling at one of the most important positions in the league.
Really you can say that Seattle should take an offensive lineman with every single pick. However, getting Russell Wilson some weapons also needs to be on the priority list. Jimmy Graham was never a great fit but now even he is on his way to Green Bay. Even Paul Richardson is on his way to the Redskins. Who the hell does Russell Wilson have besides for Doug Baldwin? Could Courtland Sutton be their guy? Sutton has good height but doesn’t really separate. In a weak receiver class, getting one earlier than you want might want to take one. Sutton put up big production at SMU reeling in 68 catches for 1,085 yards with 12 touchdowns.
