Rico Bosco Officially Leaving Barstool Sports
It’s the end of an era. It actually happened. Rico Bosco is officially leaving Barstool Sports and this time it doesn’t appear to be a troll job. It remains to be seen what happens with the ‘Pick Em’ show but if Rico is gone, maybe the show is dead too.
Barstool Founder Dave Portnoy first revealed the news on his Twitter account. Portnoy’s message to his followers seems to be a “be happy for the memories” sort of vibe.
Dave wasn’t done Tweeting. In fact, he may have pointed to a replacement for the ‘Pick Em’ show. Adding Jeff Nadu as the Rico replacement is certainly one way to troll Rico on his way out the door. I’m not sure it’s the right call for a host but it obviously is something that will affect Rico. By now it’s no secret that Nadu and Bosco hate each other.
For those looking to follow Portnoy’s message of remembering the good times, now feels like a good time to reshare Bosco’s greatest rant. Enjoy because it may be the last one you get.
It remains to be seen where Bosco is truly heading next. Of course, many people are blocked by Bosco. However, I somehow am not. As I’m typing this, there are no recent tweets about a decision from Bosco.
There was also this screenshot from Nadu that needs to be shared. I’m not sure if this was the angle that Nadu was going for but Portnoy and Erika Nardini appear flustered following the news of Bosco leaving the company. The face here may or may not say a lot of things. Also, not sure it’s the smartest move to be screenshotting company meetings but that’s just me.
After three presidencies it is officially over. Rico Bosco is a goner. Who knows what’s next but it won’t be the same place or show without him.
