Capcom reportedly bringing Resident Evil Village to Apple Mac
The times have never been better for Resident Evil fans. Capcom announced a RE 4 Remake at State of Play. The enhanced edition of the Resident Evil 3 Remake (2020) nears release. And Resident Evil Village (2021) is coming to the PlayStation VR 2. But who could’ve predicted, amidst the flurry of gaming news and rumors, that the latest RE news would appear at an Apple conference?
At WWDC 2022, Apple’s developer conference, the tech company took gamers by surprise with video game announcements: No Man’s Sky (2016) and Resident Evil Village are coming to the Apple Mac.
Besides its empire of mobile games, neither Apple or its Macs are known for their entertainment capabilities. This latest reveal seeks to change that. And if Apple can pull off successful ports of these triple A’ sized titles, they might be on to something big.
Resident Evil Village, Meet the Mac
Apple brought on Masaru Ijuin, an advanced tech manager from Capcom, for the RE Village tech demo. And the game looked strong. Even, as many scrutinize, with it running on a Mac. Of course we can’t review a port before release, but Apple seems optimistic for their Mac’s future in the gaming industry,

These graphics are made possible by recent tech advancements in Mac technology. Especially when concerning Apple’s new CPU. Their silicon chips far surpass the previous Intel CPUs. It seems Apple’s decision to separate from Intel to create custom chips is paying off. And so, we just might be seeing a new Apple-based entertainment system on the rise.
Resident Evil Village, alongside No Man’s Sky, comes out later this year on the Mac. In the meantime, incoming fans can start off their RE journey with the acclaimed Resident Evil 2 Remake, available across many platforms.
