Quinn Ewers Signs with Autograph Giant GTSM
Ohio State freshman quarterback Quinn Ewers has signed a NIL deal with autograph giant GTSM that exceeds more than $1 million, as first reported by Darren Rovell of The Action Network.
Ewers reclassified from the 2022 recruiting class and enrolled at Ohio State early. The new Buckeye is taking full advantage of the NCAA’s name, image and likeness, having signed with a pair of talent agencies earlier this month. While other national quarterbacks have signed NIL deals with fast food chains like Raising Cane’s and Bojangles, Ewers’ deal is the first of its kind in regards to its financial magnitude.
The former No. 1 player in the country will not be starting in the Buckeyes’ season opener against Minnesota. Instead, he will be on the sideline watching starter and Heisman hopeful C.J. Stroud take the reigns of another talented Ohio State team. Ewers late arrival in Columbus likely hampered his chances of winning the QB1 job outright, but don’t be surprised if he steals the show either this year or the next.
In two seasons at Southlake Carroll High School in Texas, Ewers threw for 6,445 yards and 73 touchdowns, with only eight interceptions to boot. The 18-year-old could certainly be the face of college football in a couple years’ time and the gamble from GTSM could prove very lucrative.
