Only Crackheads Believe Jahmyr Gibbs Is The Next Chris Johnson
Ahhhh, yes, it’s our friend Eric Moody again. You may remember him as the guy that had the single worst fantasy football take of the season year. If you’re short on time, he’s the guy that basically declared that Davis Mills and Brandin Cooks would be the 2021 version of the Stafford / Kupp connection for fantasy football. If you have an IQ above 12 and you consider yourself smarter than Moody, you can already see where this is heading. Irresponsible Jahmyr Gibbs comps are being thrown out and we are somehow forced to expose another piece of trash at ESPN.
This topic has been on my list but our guy Kenji has now created a backlink for it so now is the time to strike. I’m sorry I have to do it to the young intern, but he will get some ricochet shots in this post. Anybody that believes Jahmyr Gibbs is the next Chris Johnson is a complete and utter crackhead.
Do we realize how disrespectful this is? The OG readers of the site know how protective I am over East Carolina legend, Chris Johnson. CJ2K is my favorite running back of all-time. This site didn’t exist back in 2008 but he was my ride or die. I picked him in every Draft I did for NFL Head Coach 09. He was on every single one of my fantasy teams for the first five years of his career including that 2,000 yard fantasy championship season for Trey back in 2009.
Point being, if you use the words, Chris Johnson, you better back that trash talk up. After all, there are only six running backs in the history of the NFL that have run for 2,000-plus yards in a season so it’s not a comp you should throw around lightly. I’m sorry but if you think Jahmyr Gibbs is that, I just can’t take you seriously.
We’re still talking about a guy that was splitting carries two years ago at Georgia Tech with Jordan Mason, right? Look, I’m not saying Gibbs is a bad football player, but this is ridiculous. Not saying the 40 time is everything but Johnson had a different gear. 4.24 is just not the same thing as 4.36.

Kenji’s post is all over the place so I’m not going to dive into it too deeply. Johnson was also a top 11 fantasy RB as a rookie so the bar is high right away. Kenji is projecting between 15-19 fantasy points per game for Gibbs year one which would have made him the number one scoring running back a year ago. Kenji is also projecting that player to be taken in the 9th to 11th round while also having a ceiling of Johnson but is probably closer to Aaron Jones who finished as RB 50 his rookie season.
If you’re wondering WTF you just read, don’t worry, it’s safer to just steer clear of the crackhead thoughts. Don’t even try to understand it. It’s a dangerous group of humans that need a serious reality check.
If someone wants to pass this message along to Eric Moody, be my guest. I’ll challenge that guy in whatever he wants for disrespecting Chris Johnson. Arm wrestling, slapback, fantasy football, I don’t care. That guy is one of the dumbest humans on the planet and it’s embarrassing ESPN is employing someone like that. If ESPN had any real pride, he would have been fired a year ago.
