How could you hate Aron Baynes? From being a no-name guy on the Spurs to one of the most improved players in the NBA. Aron Baynes is now killing it with the Phoenix Suns and has put his name for the running in the most improved player of the year. I first heard of Baynes when he had 10 points and 7 rebounds in an NBA playoff game against Portland Blazers. The stats aren’t impressive, but literally no one knew who the hell this guy was, not even 90% of San Antonio fans. Even the announcers during that game were like “Who is this guy?” Baynes then went to the Detroit Pistons and the Boston Celtics after a few seasons with the Spurs. He didn’t disappear there, but he certainly didn’t play like he was playing now. Now in his 8th season and at age 33, he is now playing the best basketball of his life.
Aron Baynes Stats
Aron Baynes’ stats this year are making him become a household name. In just 24 minutes per game, he is averaging 16.2 PPG, 5.8 RPG, and 3.1 APG. He is one of the best pick setters in the NBA. You know, if that was a category or whatever.
But the biggest reason why I love Aron Baynes? His Unofficial fan account. This person that runs the account is a blessing from God. He has impressively made connections to Baynes with highlights. It is the most ironic and the best thing in NBA Twitter. For example, here is a post about Tony Parker’s jersey retirement, and Aron Baynes is involved:
This account made me love Baynes, if you’re reading this post and have a twitter, do yourself a favor and follow this account. Their reason for the Suns’ recent success? The Aron Baynes effect. That could be the real reason for their success. Jump on the Baynes bandwagon now, be part of the coolest club in the NBA.
