Yesterday’s NBA Picks and Plays

Boston Celtics @ Chicago Bulls 7:30 pm ET

Boston has won 3 of their last 4 and have been scoring the best they have all season, scoring over 119 points in the last 4 games. Kemba has been in and out of the lineup this season but played very solid against the Magic dropping 32 points on 11-18 shots. Jaylen Brown will be out again and Robert Williams is questionable. Chicago bullied the Hornets last night winning by 21, Vucevic had 29 points and 14 rebounds in just 30 minutes. If Jayson Tatum can cancel out Lavine’s scoring production, I like Boston to win this game, they’re playing well and Brad Stevens should have something up his sleeve to shut down one of the Bulls stars tonight..

PICK: Boston MoneyLine

Kemba Walker 3 3PM, Vucevic 3 3PM

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Miami Heat 8 pm ET

The last time these teams met Minnesota pulled off the upset, and I think that may be the case tonight. At the very least I expect this Wolves team to keep it close with or without Jimmy Butler playing. KAT is a better big man than Bam and should win this matchup due to his size advantage, Anthony Edwards is coming off a 42 point game with 8 3 PM, and they have D’Angelo Russell playing quality minutes.

If Butler is out tonight I expect the pace of the game to increase as well as Miami to shoot more 3’s. IF BUTLER IS OUT .5 Units on Over 222.5.

KAT 30+ points should be easy if he stays out of foul trouble.

1U PICK: Timberwolves +6.5

New York Knicks @ Phoenix Suns 10 pm ET

New York will be in Phoenix for a rematch with the Suns. Phoenix broke the Knicks 9 game win streak last week due to Chris Paul turning into Michael Jordan at the end of the game. New York has been on an insane ATS run consisting of 17-2 in their last 19 games, which has also secured them the top cover percentage in the league at 64.6%. You can make a case for either here, But I think Thibs will demand execution on the defensive end tonight after a gross outing against the Nuggets. Both teams are ranked top 10 in defense so it should be a dog fight. Burks and Quickley are doubtful so it will be interesting to see who steps up and gets some time, possibly Frank Ntilikina or Kevin Knox. I don’t expect the Knicks to win but I do expect them to make it interesting.

1U PICK: Knicks +6.5
