Myles Garrett racked up 13.5 sacks in 2018. That’s pretty darn good for a 2nd-year player. Garrett was the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft for a reason. 13.5 sacks are not anything to write home about for Von Miller. Well, Garrett is on that same level and expects an even bigger 2019 season. 13.5 sacks will be tough to top but Garrett has a logical reason why he should have a bigger season.
Garrett claims that he has a lot more freedom heading into 2019:
“He’s seen what I can do with just those limited amount of moves as he pointed out to me, so I think I’ll be able to surprise him this year,” Garrett said, via Dan Labbe of cleveland.com.
What does Garrett exactly mean by more freedom? Glad you asked. Apparently resident idiot Gregg Williams only let him use two pass rushing moves last year. Why? I have no idea. New defensive coordinator Steve Wilks is letting Garrett use the entire bag of tricks. That’s a scary thought.
Gregg Williams is such an idiot. He made a fool of himself on Hard Knocks. He was dumb enough to get suspended for Bounty Gate. His defensive schemes are outdated by 10 years. He’s never had a top defense. I’m not sure how smart Steve Wilks is but I know he has to be better than that idiot Williams.
Garrett has a really logical reason why he should improve. That’s a terrifying thought. This Browns defense is legit. They have more talent than any team in the division. Garrett is the best defensive player in the division. He also has a nice secondary creating more time to get after the quarterback. The sky is the limit for Garrett. He is a monster. That’s the only way to describe him.
