Monday Night Raw Review

Monday Night Raw Review Prior Knowledge

In this episode, I’ll be going over the best Raw in a while. There were many great matches on the card last night including Bray Wyatt v The Miz and Randy Orton v Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

Drew McIntyre Promo

He promoted his show and made fun of Bray Wyatt. Miz and Morrison laugh as they leave the ring. 4/5. Gets everyone hyped for their match later with also the possibility of a Miz interruption.

Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, and Asuka vs Shayna Bayzler, Nia Jax and Lana 6 Women Tag Match

Bayzler tags herself in for Lana and throws Dana Brooke out of the ring then tags Nia Jax in. Jax goes outside the ring and lifts Brooke up, lets her go, and Irish whips a charging Mandy Rose into the steel steps for Bayzler to stomp on her arm. Bayzler comes in and keeps attacking Rose’s arm but is reversed and Rose tags Asuka in, who takes advantage and gets a couple of hits on Bayzler.

Jax interferes. Lana tags herself instead of Bayzlers’ submission and fails a pin attempt Asuka locks in Asuka lock for the win. Nia Jax applauds Lana’s courage and says she won’t put Lana through the announcer table but she lies and does it again. 3/5. Predictable especially for Nia Jax throwing Lana through the table.

Team Raw Promo

Everyone arguing but Styles comes in and shuts them up by telling them that they can’t fight with each other or they’ll lose. Says they’ll go against Retribution. Says that if they follow his lead Styles will make this a team. 3/5. We all know how this will go Team Raw is fighting and they’ll continue to do so even at Survivor series.

Firefly Funhouse

Bray calls out The Miz for being rude and wants to offer him a special lesson in manners in a match tonight. Says that Miz doesn’t want to see his bad side and that his friends will help him prepare for his match. Insults Miz a couple of times before saying he’s ready for the match. 4/5. Best Firefly Fun House in a while and Alexa Bliss really made it a lot better.

Hurt Business Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander vs The New Day for Raw Tag Titles

Before the match, they advertise themselves saying how Bobby Lashley will beat Sami Zayn and Benjamin and Alexander will win the tag titles and beat The Street Profits. High flying action was one of the better parts of the night.

Retribution Promo

Ali says that they aren’t to be messed with. Reckoning is happy with what she did earlier. Ali says his game plan is to stand back and watch Team Raw fall. 3/5. He admits that they would only win because team Raw can’t function.

On the outside Strowman and Sheamus team upon them. Strowman tags in then Sheamus then Strowman then Riddle Ali takes advantage of team Raw not acting as a team with a roll-up and a win for Retribution. 3/5. The promo beforehand kind of ruined the match as we knew the result.

Miz vs Bray Wyatt

Mix offers friendship and apologies asks for a peaceful way. Alexa Bliss comes out and says Bray says No. Nicki Cross comes out and is screaming at Bliss that Bray Wyatt is bad for her.

Then Bliss lashes out at Nicki and then she reverses finally the refs pull them apart. Bray comes out and stares at Cross and then he and Bliss walk to the ring together. The match starts off with Bray saying it doesn’t have to be this way but Miz kicks him.
