Listen I love Mike Trout. He is the most dynamic baseball player that baseball has seen in the last 50 years and he honestly may be the best player ever when his career is all said and done. The fact, however, is that the Los Angeles Angels are never going to make the playoffs while he is on the team. It’s true and if you don’t, believe me, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Baseball is not basketball, one player does not make the team’s success imminent. That’s why the Marlins traded their 325 million dollar man Giancarlo Stanton after he won the MVP award in 2017. That’s one of the main reasons I think that Trout won’t finish his career as an Angel. Him being on the team is effectively killing the entire organization.

Assuming that the Angels have a better front office than the dumpster fire Marlins than the obvious move is to trade Trout. The organization is in desperate need of position players and they cannot do that while they are paying Trout $430 million dollars over 10 years. Sure you could say, “Oh well the Angels have Ohtani!” Sit down Ohtani sucks. You want to know why Mike Trout’s win above replacement (WAR) is so high? Because the rest of the line up is dog shit! That’s why Jeter had a low WAR, the Yankees were loaded!

The best option for the Angels is to trade Trout now before he gets old and god willing before he gets injured. The dude should have came to Philly but I know why he didn’t do it. We need pitching. Whats going to happen is the Phillies are going to fire Gabe Kapler, they’re going to hire former Angels coach who led them to the 2003 World Series, Mike Scioscia, and then bluster their pitching staff. If the Phillies do all that and keep JT Realmuto, who has established himself firmly as the best catcher in baseball, there’s a chance Mike Trout comes to Philly. To summarize: Angels suck, Mike Trout needs out to a big market team, there’s still a chance he comes to Philly. Don Chach out!
