Michael Che Isn’t Funny. Sorry, Not Sorry

Michael Che Isn’t Funny. Sorry, Not Sorry

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not an expert on stand up comedy. I do, however, know funny. My friends literally only keep me around because I’m funny. I don’t bring much else to the table right now. I’ve seen a bunch of Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer on Netflix. They always give me a good laugh. The other day I decided to branch out a bit and give Michael Che a try. Bad decision.

Michael Che is not funny. There is nobody that finds this man funny. Not possible. His new stand up special is called Shame the Devil. Let me give you an inside scoop to how it goes:

Che basically opens up the stand up talking about homeless people. Fine whatever. Let’s see what he got.

It rapidly turns into a dick joke thing where he basically admits to staring at homeless dude’s junk to see if they’re hung. If so, he considers them lucky even though they’re homeless.

Sorry, bud. Not funny. Didn’t even crack half a smile.

The stand up was so bad I had to turn it 20 minutes in. Keep in mind, this was after a party towards the end of the night where it should have been very easy to laugh at whatever if you catch my drift. Still was so bad I had to turn it off.

I then went back to watch his prior stand up on Netflix called Matters. That one was at least more clever but still not funny.

Look, I know he’s on SNL but they have so many writers it’s hard not to be at least a little funny on that. Does he even still work for SNL? I have no clue. I’m not up to date on the comedy game. BUT… what I do know is that guy isn’t funny.

Does anyone find him funny? Maybe I’m being harsh because there are a lot of stand up comics I don’t find funny. I don’t find Kevin Hart funny. Never have. But I can at least see why others do. John Mulaney isn’t funny either. Most comedians I never find funny. But not to the point where I can’t fathom how anyone finds the person even amusing.

Homeless man dick jokes? C’mon. Where is the bar? Hell, I could go on stage and punch myself in the face. That’s funnier than anything Che has ever done.
