Although I said it first, Lebron James had high praise for Luka Doncic after their instant classic battle on November 1st. If you didn’t get to watch it boy, you missed out. Lebron James had a triple-double with 39 points on 56.5% shooting, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds. However, Luka Doncic himself boasted a triple-double with 31 points on 43.5% shooting, 15 assists, and 13 rebounds. In the end, though, Lebron came out with the win at 119-110. After the game Lebron James said this about Luka Doncic via  ESPN’s Dave McMenamin:

“I don’t really get into the one-on-one battle,” James said. “Obviously he’s a great young talent, I love his game, his ability to not only create shots for himself, but you guys know I love the fact that he can get great looks for his teammates. That’s what I thrive on, that’s what I’ve always believed in, and he just plays the game the right way.”

Wow. Unbelievable praise from one that people arguably call the GOAT. May I remind you that Luka Doncic is only a second-year player?! He plays the game so poised that he already looks like he’s been in the league for years. The Dallas Mavericks are silently building one of the scariest dynasties we might ever see. Luka Doncic is ONLY 20 years old. Meanwhile, they just traded for Kristaps Prozingis recently, and he’s ONLY 24 years old! They have two of the youngest and most talented European players on their team! They haven’t even reached their peak yet! I am deathly terrified of the Mavericks and the years to come. In all honesty, they really only need one more star piece to be a contender. As young as they are, I believe it will happen. Lebron just confirmed what I already knew: Luka Doncic was always going to be good.
