Le’Veon Bell Doesn’t Think He Has Had Enough Touches
The Le’Veon Bell, Jets tenure has gone as expected. Bell got his money, turned into a rotten pumpkin, and has performed like one of the worst running backs in football. All the warning signs were there. Of course, the Jets were the sucker. Now Bell is complaining to put the cherry on top.
Le’Veon Bell is complaining about the number of touches he’s gotten this season:
“Honestly, no,” Bell said, via NJ.com. “I think that’s being in a new system, new guys up front, it’s a new coaching staff, I’m with a new organization. So everything takes time, I understand that. That’s why I’ve always been patient. But to be honest with you, no. I feel like when I do, I’ll be back to what people are used to seeing.”
This is such a joke. In 8 of the 12 games that Bell has played, he’s gotten at least 15 carries in each of those games. He’s also been involved in the passing game with at least 4 targets in 11 of the 12 games. News flash Lev, you stink. I just don’t understand why anyone is shocked here.
Bell has not rushed for 70 yards in any game this season. Bilal Powell has done that. Bell is averaging 3.2 yards per carry. You can’t find many backs who have been worse. Bilal Powell is averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Smaller sample size but Powell in so star. In fact, he’s barely a backup caliber back. Lev Bell has been worse than that guy.
The Jets were crazy to sign Bell and it’s gone as expected. Poor production and constant headaches. Some teams will never learn and the New York Jets are one of them.
