When the Buffalo Bills released LeSean McCoy, I didn’t raise an eyebrow. I just saw it as the end of the road. Instead, most of the media has been hyping up McCoy. Now Shady is reunited with Andy Reid after signing a one year deal with the Chiefs. What could be better! I have bad news for everyone. LeSean McCoy is washed up. This is a non story.

It’s time for Shady to retire. Hey, it was a hell of a run. Damn good career. Over 10,000 career rushing yards is no small feat. The problem is McCoy is done. If he isn’t, the man is running on fumes at best. In 2018, McCoy average 3.2 yards per carry. It was the first time in his career that he finished a season with that mark under 4 yards per carry. He couldn’t make the Bills roster with Frank Gore who’s been in the league since the Dinosaurs roamed the earth and TJ Yeldon who the Jaguars couldn’t wait to get rid of.

It’s over. Save your energy for something else. Damien Williams is the back you want in Kansas City in terms of fantasy. We know what Williams is. He’s a tough running that’s not afraid to hit somebody. He can also catch the ball out of the backfield. The Chiefs offense didn’t miss a beat when Kareem Hunt got cut. That’s because Damien Williams is good. Williams averaged 5.1 yards per carry in 2018 with KC. That’s almost 2 yards more than McCoy.

It’s nothing against McCoy. He’s just a running back in his 30’s that has shown major signs of decline. Hey, maybe Reid can be a miracle worker. Damien Williams is the unquestioned starter. Darwin Thompson is the lightning rod out of the backfield. LeSean McCoy? Probably washed up.
