LeBron James And The Los Angeles Lakers Suck. I’ll Say It.

LeBron James sucks. This Los Angeles Lakers team sucks. I will not be convinced otherwise.

Tonight, the NBA world rejoiced as the vaunted Los Angeles Lakers team was officially eliminated from the postseason, losing to the Phoenix Suns, and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets to clinch a play-in spot. That’s right, LeBron James has missed the postseason for the fourth time in his career. Why? Because this version of James sucks and so does this garbage Lakers team. This tarnishes ANY case LeBron stans have for him being the GOAT. I never want to hear LeBron James and GOAT in the same conversation ever again.

The smile that came across my face when I got the alert that the Lakers were eliminated from the postseason was similar to when I was 10 and on Christmas morning I opened up a Nintendo DS. Or when I got laid for the first time. Regardless, the happiness I feel is likely what god knows how many other fans feel. Because we all know the truth, LeBron James and this Lakers team were destined to fail from the jump. This team shouldn’t be on national TV anymore. They are a disgrace to the Lakers franchise as a whole, and this off-season is going to get quite messy. There is nothing you can do to convince me that James or anyone on this roster is worth keeping around next season.

I gave you the recipe to fix your sorry franchise. It’s easy. But now, man is it even easier. LeBron James can not suit up for your team next season. He is a cancer. Maybe not as much as Russell Westbrook, but then again most players arent. This team had James, ADisney (formerly known as Anthony Davis), and Westbrook. On paper, casuals called this team unbeatable and they were destined to win the championship this year. But people with functioning eyes (I have four of them so I should know better than most) would tell you this team was a disaster from the jump. Everyone wants the ball. News flash, NBA Basketball is played with one ball. Not everyone is going to get a touch. Compound that with the fact that Westbrook can’t hit the broad side of a barn and ADisney is NEVER healthy, so who else do you rely on? Talen Horton-Tucker? Hard pass.

But this all boils down to LeBron James. The “GOAT”. The man that would lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a real title, not a bubble title. That same man sat out two must-win games against the Nuggets and Suns in back-to-back games, and in both games, they were simply outclassed. They didn’t deserve to be on the floor with those teams. James quit on this team. Face facts, casuals. LeBron James is probably already looking at houses in Cleveland. He’s gone.

Look! He even tweeted it out! The man gave up.

Y’all will be posting those burning jerseys videos in a. few months, and I will save every single one and watch them over and over and laugh. You deserve it. Telling the world the Lakers were unbeatable. They were the team to come out of the Western Conference. Wake up. This team couldn’t even make the play-in! They suck!

Never again will I take anyone seriously when they add LeBron James into the GOAT conversation. Michael Jordan would never allow his team to miss a play-in. More teams make the postseason now than when Jordan played, all the more reason Jordan would never miss it. James threw a fit that he couldn’t get a lollipop after his doctor’s visit for his booboo on his ankle and decided to sit out. He quit. Jordan could never. I could never really understand adding James in the GOAT debate after his Miami team sold to Dallas back in 2011, but now? He doesn’t even sniff that conversation.

LeBron James sucks. I know the truth hurts, but it has to be said. He doesn’t make his teammates better anymore. That just isn’t his role. He IS the team. It’s his way or the highway. We were told that this week when Magic Johnson said they could’ve had Demar DeRozan, but decided to have Westbrook instead. Look how that turned out. DeRozan has been in the MVP conversation before, and Westbrook cried about being called Westbrick. Who do you really want on your team? He can’t be GM, he can’t be your #1 option. Lakers fans should want James off the team, not the other way around.

I know this is hard to hear. I get it. I don’t like being a poverty franchise. I have experience. I feel your pain. I am a die-hard Nuggets fan. I went through a 4-year stretch with no future, no stars, and wondered when we would be good again. Now, we have the MVP (soon to be back-to-back), a superstar at PG, and a mainstay in the Western Conference elite. Your time is coming. Accept it. The Lakers suck, and the writing is on the wall. Embrace the suck, because it’s coming.
