Just Cause Developer’s Next Title Leaked – Reports
Just Cause is an action-adventure, third-person shooter game, where users play as the main character Rico Rodriguez. It is an open-world game, and its setting is based on multiple different islands throughout the four games in the franchise. However, it appears the same Just Cause developers are trading in the guns, cars, and explosives for a different type of action-adventure game.
Avalanche Studios, which is the same studio that developed all four of the Just Cause games, have had their next project leaked. According to @just4leaks2 on Twitter and the website exputer, the game has a code name right now, but it’s believed that the new game will be titled Ravenbound: Tales of Avalt. The game has ditched the more modern island setting of the Just Cause series for a medieval countryside environment.
Ravenbound will take place in a fictional setting and gamers will be accompanied by a vessel. There are three vessels in the game, with each vessel having different abilities and weapons that the gamer can use. Additionally, the player can transform into a raven and then get a birds-eye view of the world, which will aid the gamer on his journey.
Avalanche Studios found success with their Just Cause franchise, so it will be interesting to see if Ravenbound: Tales of Avalt can create a prospective fan base of its own when more information is released and the game is closer to launch.
Just Cause Positives and Negatives
Just Cause was a successful series, and it had enough popularity to produce four entries in the franchise. However, it never received much critical acclaim.
There is a lot to enjoy with the series, such as the many ways to travel through vast open-world settings. There are plenty of vehicles as well as a parachute, grappling hook, and wingsuit that made traveling more enjoyable when compared to other games.
Another strong point of the series is the GTA-like Wanted Level, which is known as a “heat” level. This means if players commit crimes or aggressive acts, then the NPCs will begin to attack. The more the heat level goes up, the more NPCs will spawn in to eliminate the player. The heat level gives players an exciting survival aspect which immerses the player in the open-world sandbox setting.
The negatives of the Just Cause series mainly center around the repetitive side quests and missions. Also, the story of the franchise in general is not groundbreaking. As a whole, it can be a bit underwhelming and basic at times.
