Jon Bostic fined For Hit On Andy Dalton

Washington Football Team linebacker Jon Bostic has been officially fined for his hit on Dallas Cowboys QB Andy Dalton. Bostic avoided a suspension but was suspended $12,000 for the collision, according to Tom Pelisero

This hit was clearly dirty, and Bostic is lucky that he only has to pay a fine instead of serving a suspension.

Ron Rivera was un-happy with Bostic, as he said this to him after the hit,

“You’re a veteran. You should know better than to apply a hit like that.”

Rivera made sure to go apologize to the Cowboys sideline, heading over to talk to Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.

“I went up to him and apologized to him for it. I wanted him to know that we don’t play that way, and it’s unfortunate that it happened.”

In response to the hit, Mike McCarthy was clearly unhappy that none of the Cowboys players stood up for Andy Dalton and confronted Bostic about his hit.

“We speak all the time about playing for one another, protecting one another. It definitely was not the response you would expect.”

The hit came in the first game succeeding the anonymous report of the discontent between the players and the coaches in the Cowboys locker room.

Regardless of what happened after the hit, Andy Dalton Dalton has been ruled out for the Cowboys game on Sunday night vs. the Philadelphia Eagles because of the hit by Jon Bostic. Rookie Ben Dinucci will start in his place.
