John Laurinaitis Takes Administrative Leave from WWE – Reports

WWE talent were informed before last night’s Monday Night Raw that Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis, will take an administrative leave, as reported by WhatCulture Wrestling. As a result, Bruce Prichard will be taking over during the investigation into alleged misconduct claims against Laurinaitis, as reported by Fightful Select. Bruce is one of the Heads of Creative in WWE and will now also serve as interim Head of Talent Relations.

This news is coming after reports that Vince McMahon allegedly paid a former WWE employee three million dollars to keep an alleged affair on the hush, as first reported by The Wall Street Journal. As a result, Vince McMahon will be stepping down from his Chairman and CEO duties while WWE’s board continues their investigation. NDA’s have been found involving Vince McMahon and former female employees after the investigation began in April. Laurinaitis had alleged misconduct claims found against him as well.

Stephanie McMahon, Vince’s daughter, announced that she will replace Vince as interim Chairwoman and CEO of the company. About a month ago, Stephanie McMahon announced she will be taking a leave of absence from the company to be with her family.

WWE talent celebrated not having to go to John anymore, reported by Fightful Select. Talent are under the assumption that they will never have to see him again, with Prichard now handling both Creative and Talent Relations. As a result, Wrestlers in the company have become worried about him taking on both roles. They’re going to have to go to the person who handles creative for time off. There’s a lot of new information coming out involving this investigation. We can only hope that the truth will get out.
