Jalen Reagor “Really Fits Our Quarterback Skill Set” According to Howie Roseman

Howie, Howie, Howie, I’m gonna let you off easy because I’m sure the hardcore fans of Philadelphia are letting you hear it right now. But Jalen Reagor? Come on now, there were definitely better WRs on the board and you know it. But here is Howie Roseman’s explanation provided by ProFootballTalk:

“You see the vertical separation as an outside receiver, and those things are hard to find,” Roseman said. “When you look at kind of this draft about guys who can just separate as an outside vertical receiver, there are not a lot of those guys. Those guys are hard to find and they’re hard to find in this league. You see it, that it really fits our quarterback skill set. Our quarterback likes to throw the ball down the field and make vertical throws.”

My thing is, I was real big on Justin Jefferson, especially after the big 3 in WRs in Jerry Jeudy, CeeDee Lamb, and Henry Ruggs III. I felt like Justin Jefferson was the 4th best WR on the board. The Eagles, has it has been widely known, had a plethora of problems in their receiving corps. Sometimes, I didn’t even know who Carson Wentz was throwing to anymore. The idea here was for the Eagles to get the best WR on the board and they failed to do that. Throwing the ball down the field is nice…if the guy can catch it. Is it ironic that Jalen Reagor’s reported weakness is drops? Even more ironic that Jalen Reagor Pro NFL comparison is…wait for it…Nelson Agholor! The leader in dropped passes for the Eagles! Man, that is rich. I’m not even hating on the Eagles here, I just feel bad for them. Howie, you fucked up on this one, I hope to God I’m wrong for your sake. Philadelphia will crucify you if I’m right though.
