ish's picks and plays

Three games, three picks. The Mavericks look to close their series against the Clippers in Dallas; Luka Dončić has been phenomenal in these playoffs and not even Kawhi Leonard has been able to defend him. On the hockey card, Winnipeg will host the Canadiens one more time before heading to Montreal, where fans will be in attendance, while the last game between Colorado and Vegas has my best bet! Tail or fade, good luck tonight!

Dallas Mavericks vs Los Angeles Clippers.

Dončić has owned the Clippers this series, doing whatever he wants against both man and zone defense, and the rest of the Mavericks have been shooting the lights out, but neither team has won a game on their home court and I believe that trend will continue. Additionally, I would rather bet on two players instead of one, and Kristaps Porzingis was nearly non-existent last game, only scoring 8 points in 30 minutes. If the Clippers did not give up a 25-5 run in the third quarter in Game 5, even with Leonard’s off night, they would have won. Dončić’s neck injury has stuck around as well, but Leonard and Paul George will have to step up tonight and prove that they are the more aggressive team.

PICK: Clippers win and the series goes to 7.

Montreal Canadiens vs Winnipeg Jets

Mark Scheifele of the Jets is suspended until game 6 due to the devastating hit he laid down on Jake Evans at the end of Game 1. Paul Stastny will liekly also be out tonight, so the Jets will be shorthanded against an angry Canadiens team with one of the best goalies in the league in Carey Price. It seems like nobody is giving respect to Montreal, but that is fine with me. I am happy to take the better odds. Jake Evans will be missed by Montreal but they will adjust and get the job done tonight.

PICK: Montreal win and goes up 2-0.

Vegas Golden Knights vs Colorado Avalanche.

Everyone is on Vegas tonight, as they are down 2-0 at home and get Marc-André Fleury back between the pipes, and nobody has been picking Colorado, despite the fact that the Avalanche are consistent and led by Nathan MacKinnon, who is currently on fire. I am riding with Colorado because they have been the better team this season and this series and their key players are stepping up at the right time.

PICK: Avalanche go up 3-0 in Vegas tonight.
