4 out of 5 of Ish’s Picks cashed yesterday, missing on Lightning Moneyline even though I did say to play Panthers +1.5 on the side. Player Props were unlucky yesterday, so we’ll shake those off onto tonight’s card.

Boston Celtics vs Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn’s Big 3 shot just 11 for 32 in the first half in Game 1, yet finished with 82 of the Nets total points in the game. It was a low-scoring game as the Celtics didn’t break 100 while the Nets, who average 118 points per game, hit 104. Brooklyn should continue to play good defense against a weak offensive team that is praying for Tatum to have one more 50 point performance to give them a chance. I wrote about the Nets winning in 4, and I stand by that, Boston’s perimeter shooting is too inconsistent, and they are not the same defensive team they were last year. Coach Brad Stevens honored the idea of playing more small ball, but that will only help the Nets by allowing them to play a 5th shooter to space the floor.

PICK: Nets -9 (Ish’s Picks Pick of the night)

Player Props

Kyrie Irving Over 25.5 Points, Kevin Durant Over 27.5 Points, Harden Over 9.5 Assists, Kyrie Irving Over 4.5 Assists.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Phoenix Suns

L.A. has their back against the wall now down 1-0 against the Suns, and I believe they will play better tonight. Anthony Davis went 5 for 16 and got outplayed by Deandre Ayton in Game 1. LeBron and AD should both come out more aggressive tonight knowing that this is a big game. Devin Booker was also phenomenal last game by going for 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. He should come back to earth tonight, and the Lakers should plan to play with more physicality just as they did on May 9th when AD had 40 points and 12 rebounds. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gasol or Harrell’s minutes go up to try and push the pace to try and tire Ayton out. I’ll back LeBron and the defending champs in this one.

PICK: Lakers -2 OR ML

Player Props

Anthony Davis Over 8.5 Reb, Mikal Bridges Over 1.5 3PM, Alex Caruso Over 2.5 Ast.

Dallas Mavericks vs Los Angeles Clippers

Dallas outplayed the Clippers at Staples Center in Game 1 and it was embarrassing. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George should come out tonight and remind the Mavs who the better team is. Kristaps Porzingis has been inconsistent this season, and Luka will be guarded more by Kawhi tonight. Tim Hardaway Jr, Jalen Brunson, and Dorian Finney-Smith all contributing scoring over 15 points each, and replicating their shooting performances against this Clippers defense will be tough. Dallas has been playing over their heads for these last 10 or so games, and I expect the Clippers to play with a level of fire we haven’t seen yet. Similar to Portland versus Denver last night, I felt like Portland was going to win, but bet on Denver due to the importance of the game and a little bit more being on the line for them at home in game 2. Denver outplayed Portland all game, and I expect the same situation tonight.

PICK: Clippers -7 or buy points and lower the number if you don’t like it.

Player Props

Luka to have a Triple Double (+315), Marcus Morris Over 12.5 Points, Over 2.5 Rebounds.

Nashville Predators vs Carolina Hurricanes

Carolina is back at home with 12,000 fans after losing the last two games in double overtime. They don’t have any room for error now as the series is tied at 2. I still believe the Hurricanes are the better team, and especially being back at home ice should help them get the job done tonight. Nedeljkovic is also expected to return tonight between the pipes for the Canes. The safest bet in this game is Predators +1.5 as they do have the momentum in the series with 2 straight wins and sometimes having fans yell and scream at you fires you up more than being cheered for.

PICK: Best bet is Preds +1.5, .5U bet is Hurricanes Moneyline.

Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadiens

Maple Leafs are the better team and I think the Canadiens might be faded out by now. Montreal’s goalie Carey Price has played great in his first two games. However, he most recently allowed 4 goals on 33 shots. The Canadiens have struggled to score and have only put up 4 goals in the last 3 games. Finally, the Maple Leafs have won 9 of 13 when favorited in back-to-back situations, while Montreal is just 1-5.

PICK: Maple Leafs Moneyline
