Hope Solo Posts About Her Recent Treatment In Rehab

Hope Solo took to Instagram and Twitter to comment to reflect on her experience at an inpatient rehab center. Back in March, Solo was arrested after being found passed out in a Walmart parking lot in North Carolina, with her two young children in the car. She pled guilty to driving while impaired and was sentenced to 30 days and given a suspended sentence of 2 years. She was granted credit for time in an inpatient rehab center, provided she completed all necessary steps in her treatment.

Yesterday, she posted on social media expressing her gratitude for the lessons she’s learned and those who helped her through the process, including her husband, former Seahawks and Bucs TE Jerammy Stevens.

“I want to thank my beautifully strong husband for supporting me through this in so many meaningful ways”

Solo completed her treatment at the Hope Valley Treatment Center in Dobson, NC. She thanked the those she met in her time there, as well as her counselor.

“I also want to thank all the wonderful women I met during my time at the Hope Valley treatment facility and specifically to my counselor, Billie Lawson”

The overall sentiment of her post was one of gratitude and of understanding of the lessons she’s learned. Alongside her husband and the women at Hope Valley, Solo also thanked her attorneys and fans. She thanked her attorneys for putting her “emotional and mental well-being first”. To her fans, she was thankful for their “stories” and “faith” in her.

She concluded her post by sharing a more general expression of gratitude, and an intention to continue to learn and grow.

“I continue to be a student of the greatest school called life and I will continue to learn and grow from these experiences.  I will continue to gain empathy, knowledge, and stories to share.

I consider this a gift to pass it on to others because pain shared is pain lessened.”

Solo had requested that the Hall of Fame postpone her induction until 2023. It has yet to be announced when this ceremony will take place.
