GTA 6 Release Reportedly Delayed Until 2025
Today is a sad and frustrating day for fans of the Grand Theft Auto series as GameSpot reported that the newest edition of GTA will not be out on shelves until 2025. Does this news mean Rockstar is going to release GTA 5 for the millionth time, or will their team make sure that GTA 6 is the best title they ever put out.
Grand Theft Auto 5 came out eight years ago in 2013, and with the news that a new GTA will not hit shelves for a few more years, fans are left twiddling their thumbs. All of Gamespot’s information came from Tom Henderson, a YouTuber who specializes in video game leaks and breaking news before the game developers themselves. In his recent video, Henderson outlined why the game is delayed.
“There was also a mention of GTA 6 having multiple playable characters, something which GTA 5 introduced to the series when it first came out. Even if these rumors are true, fans are going to be in for a long wait due to several factors. Henderson said that Rockstar has placed a greater emphasis on employee wellbeing in the wake of several reports detailing the crunch work conditions that were implemented before Red Dead Redemption 2 came out.”

Cruelty directed at employees and shitty work conditions are issues we can all agree are problematic, but fans have been waiting for years for a new GTA. Rather than punishing fans by starving them for content, Rockstar should hire more developers and promote those behind their most successful games to lead their various teams. Surely Rockstar can find a way to treat employees with respect while creating new products efficiently, right?
